This Privacy Policy explains how Fleet Assist (“we,” “us,” or “our”) handles personal information when you visit truck-owner.com (the “Website”) or contact us through the channels listed on it. It does not replace any separate privacy notice or data-processing agreement for a service you engage us to provide. Our Terms of Use explain the conditions for using the Website.
1. Information we receive
- Information you provide. When you call, message us, or submit a linked inquiry form, we receive the information you choose to provide, which may include your name, business name, telephone number, email address, fleet size, service interests, and the content of your correspondence or attachments.
- Technical information. Website hosting, delivery, and security providers may process IP addresses, browser and device information, requested pages, referral information, timestamps, and diagnostic or security logs when delivering the Website.
- Information about others. If you provide driver, employee, customer, or other third-party information, you must have authority and a lawful basis to share it. Provide only what is necessary for your request.
The fleet price calculator runs in your browser. It does not send us your service selections or truck count. If you contact us separately, we receive only the estimate details you choose to share with us.
2. How information is used
We use information as needed to respond to inquiries, discuss and arrange requested services, communicate with you, maintain business records, deliver and troubleshoot the Website, prevent fraud and misuse, protect legal rights, and meet applicable legal obligations. Information supplied for an agreed service may also be used to perform that service under the applicable agreement.
Where a law requires a legal basis for processing, we rely on the basis applicable to the activity: taking steps at your request or performing a contract, complying with legal obligations, legitimate business interests where permitted and balanced against your rights, or your consent when required. Visiting the Website is not consent to unrelated marketing or optional tracking.
3. When information is shared
Information may be disclosed to hosting, communications, administrative, and other service providers as necessary for the functions they perform; to service partners when needed for assistance you request; to professional advisers; or when reasonably necessary to comply with law, respond to lawful requests, protect rights and safety, or investigate misuse. A business transfer may involve relevant records, subject to applicable law and any required notice or consent.
Compliance consulting services are provided in partnership with Yusolve LLC. If your request involves that assistance, relevant information may be shared to coordinate it. A partner’s separate engagement and privacy terms may apply to information it handles in its own capacity.
The Website does not include advertising pixels or tools that sell or share browsing information for cross-context behavioral advertising. This statement concerns the Website’s own functionality; external services you choose to use have their own practices, described below.
4. Cookies and third-party services
The Website itself does not set advertising or analytics cookies or store the calculator’s entries in browser storage. Hosting and security infrastructure may process technical information needed to serve and protect the Website. Browser settings can help control cookies and storage.
Our contact links may take you to Telegram or Google Forms, or open your telephone application. Those services may collect account details, form responses, communications, cookies, or device information under their own policies. Information you send to us through those channels is also handled as described here. Review Telegram’s Privacy Policy and Google’s Privacy Policy before using their services.
The Website does not perform cross-site advertising tracking, and its functionality does not change in response to a Do Not Track signal. Applicable legally required opt-out rights remain available. External sites and providers may respond to browser privacy signals differently.
5. Retention and security
We keep information for as long as reasonably needed to handle the original request, provide ongoing services, maintain records, meet legal obligations, protect security, or resolve disputes. The retention period depends on the information, the request, and the obligations that apply. There is no single deletion deadline for every record. Legal holds and backup retention may affect when information can be deleted.
No website, messaging channel, storage system, or internet transmission can be guaranteed completely secure. Do not send passwords, full payment-card details, Social Security numbers, medical records, or other sensitive documents through an unsolicited message or general inquiry. Contact us first to arrange an appropriate method if a service requires sensitive records. This notice does not limit any security or breach-notification obligations imposed by law.
6. Your choices and requests
You can choose whether to contact us and what information to provide. Without information necessary for a request, we may be unable to respond or provide the requested assistance. You can ask us to stop optional promotional communications through the contact details below; necessary service or legal communications may continue.
Depending on your location and which laws apply, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information; restrict or object to processing; withdraw consent; or opt out of certain uses or disclosures. Where applicable, you may use an authorized agent, appeal a denied request, or complain to a competent data-protection authority. Withdrawing consent does not affect earlier lawful processing.
To make a request, use the telephone or mailing address below and identify it as a privacy request. Describe the request and give us a way to respond; do not include unnecessary sensitive information. We may need to verify your identity and any agent’s authority. We respond within the periods required by applicable law, subject to lawful exceptions and retention requirements. We do not discriminate against you for exercising applicable privacy rights.
7. International visitors and children
The Website concerns services for U.S. trucking businesses. Contacting us or using an external service may involve handling information in the United States or other countries where relevant providers operate, whose privacy laws may differ from those where you live. Any legally required safeguards for an applicable international transfer remain required; use of the Website does not waive them.
The Website is intended for adults acting in a business capacity and is not directed to children under 18. Do not knowingly submit a child’s personal information. If you believe a child has provided information to us, contact us so we can review and address it as required by law.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy by posting a revised version with a new effective date. Where required, we will provide additional notice or obtain consent before a material change applies. An update does not retroactively authorize an incompatible use of previously collected information without any legally required steps.
